I really like black cars. Like it's a problem because they're a pain in the ass to keep clean.
I've always liked how BMW does their exhaust on the 328i. Two tips on one side instead of one on each.
Red leather is the next best thing since there's no dark tan/brown option.
So expensive... or maybe I'm just cheap.
Plus, European Delivery takes more cost off as well, I think.
It'll be years before I can afford a new BMW anyway.

I've been looking at E46s like crazy lately. You know, since the local E36 supply is next to zero.

With black cars just give it a good going over and protect with a good LSP (you can wax on top if you want something to do but your LSP will do) then simply use a citrus prewash or snow foam and pressure wash and then dry with a drying aid and pat dry with a large microfibre towel.
Black cars and generally dark coloured cars show marring and swirls far more than other colours so minimal contact with the car's paint is best practice.

Black is indeed a great color on BMWs.

You need to start tagging your config. posts "BMW Configurator" so we can see your dozens (hundreds?) of custom BMWs all in one place.
It's funny, because even if all of your configurations were of a different model, you still wouldn't have gone through every model they make yet.

There seems to be an optional extra that is unneeded.

What is an LSP

LSP is Last Stage Product (ie wax, sealant or coating). Something that adds an extra layer of protection from either UV light to protect from fading, or scratch resistance, an aid to cleaning or even something that adds to the gloss of the paint.
